Retained for 24 months from application date. Accepted participants: retained for the full cohort plus 7 years (federal grant compliance requirement). Declined or withdrawn applicants: purged automatically after 24 months.

We keep only what we need to run our programs and meet our legal obligations. Everything else is purged on a fixed schedule.
Program records
Enrollment records, attendance, credentials earned, and outcome data are retained 7 years to meet federal reporting requirements (Department of Labor, Department of Education). After 7 years, records are anonymized and aggregated.
Financial records
Donation records are retained indefinitely for 501(c)(3) reporting. Tax receipts are available to you on request.
Request your data
You have the right to request a copy of all data we hold about you, request corrections, or request deletion (where not required by law). Email support@americans4equality.org with the subject line DATA REQUEST. We respond within 30 days.
